RKYHS Students Are Exposed To Careers During Career Week

It was Career Week last week at RKYHS. All week long, RKYHS students were invited to hear from professionals in a wide range of fields. Students had the opportunity to expand their awareness of careers and organizations, and enhance their networking skills.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to hear from Chesky Trenk, software engineer at Google (and JKHA parent); Jim Dischler, international terrroism analyst at the FBI and Jordana Jakubovic, intelligence analyst at the FBI; Dr. Yoav Rosenblat, emergency medicine physician, RWJ Barnabas Health (and RKYHS parent); Dr. Michael Kelly, sports medicine physician; Neal Fishman, distinguished engineer and CTO Data-Based Pathology at IBM; Jessica Blank Zeffren (JKHA ‘03 /RKYHS ‘07), senior manager, marketing at New York Jets; and a hospitality professional from the Berger Real Estate Organization.

Students asked the speakers a wide variety of insightful questions including specific questions about their roles, how they decided on their particular careers, some of the steps they took to get to where they are and—for those it applied to—how they are able to balance their religious observance with their jobs.
