Twelve RKYHS students volunteered for Habitat for Humanity in California. They worked in the San Gabriel Valley and had the opportunity to meet a member of the family that will be moving into the house that they are building. The new resident conveyed her appreciation of the work being done to the house and increased the impact of the students’ work. They also did work in Ventura County helping with home restoration after the damage caused during the devastating Thomas Wildfires. The group spent a meaningful Shabbat at Chabad in Ojai, and enjoyed meeting with peers from Shalhevet High School while exploring areas of California.
