On their first day at school after the tragedy in that took place at the Tree Of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh, RKYHS students began their morning by reciting Tehillim in memory of the victims.
Klatt Family Rosh HaYeshiva and Head of School Rabbi Rubin addressed the high school and offered ways that students can respond and take action in response to the horrific event. He encouraged them to be informed, and not be apathetic or indifferent. He explained to the students how they can bring goodness into the world, as an antidote to the evil.
Information about all of the victims was made available for all the students to read. The students signed up to recite perakim of Tehillim, wrote letters of condolence along with messages on a large sign that will be delivered by school representatives to those in mourning in the Pittsburgh Jewish community.
