RKYHS Students Hear From Speaker About Appreciating Differences

RKYHS students heard from 27 year old motivational speaker Kelsey Tainsh as part of their SEED speaker program. Tainsh has overcome recurring brain tumors and a debilitating stroke that left her paralyzed on one side of her body. Tainsch offered RKYHS students her inspirational message to embrace and appreciate people’s differences as well as the uniqueness of others, and to be the bigger person. She feels strongly that the key to changing students’ lives and preventing bullying, lies in teaching and helping them to share and embrace their differences.

Her message of perseverance resonated with all in attendance that when we change our attitude, it changes the way we react, which can then change the outcome of the situation. The JKHA eighth grade was privileged to attend this SEED session. This SEED speaker presentation was sponsored by the Eric Eliezer Levenson Foundation.
