RKYHS Students Kick Off Feminine Product Drive

As part of Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School’s Homelessness Awareness Club, we became aware of the lack of supply of feminine products for women who are struggling with homelessness. Feminine products are a necessity for all women, and can be costly.

We asked ourselves, Can we make feminine products more easily accessible for homeless women? And our project sparked! We learned more about the issue and decided it was time to help combat this problem in our community. Our focus is raising money for shelters to supply these products.

After months of planning, we are finally kicking off our feminine product drive. We have already started fundraising by selling doughnuts to our student body, and have placed donation bins around the school where one can donate feminine products. We are now planning future fundraisers, and hope that with the help of our school and the greater Jewish community we will be able to make a true difference.

All proceeds will be going to NJCW (National Council of Jewish Women) who are working with us to reach the homeless community. If you are interested in contributing to this meaningful cause, please Venmo any amount of money to @Emma-Lando and note that it is for the NJCW collection.

Feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions.
