RKYHS Students Pack Supplies For Ukrainian Refugees

The RKYHS Chesed Executive Board organized a donation drop off in the high school the last two weeks and students brought in specific items that will be given to Ukrainian refugees, in conjunction with the AFYA Foundation. The AFYA Foundation is working in partnership with U.S.-Ukraine Foundation and others to support the Ukrainian medical community and refugees seeking aid. A group of RKYHS students had the opportunity to take the donated items they’ve collected to the AFYA Foundation and assist in sorting through the vast array of collected items in the warehouse before they are airlifted to the region. RKYHS students packed a total of 1100 pounds of items, over a half a ton, and 22 boxes of supplies that will be sent to help refugees. Students appreciated being able to take part in this incredible opportunity to see and be part of the large-scale humanitarian project.
