The RKYHS team Yachad members have arrived home from Israel after running in the Jerusalem marathon. They group spent the time before the big race taking in the sights, touring the Old City and making pizza with Yachad members to give to soldiers in the IDF. Several RKYHS students also participated in the marathon raising money for Shalva. The RKYHS students were joined by its alumni studying in Israel who were also participating in the marathon for tzedakah.

Senior Danielle Shanskhalil commented, “Although I’ve been to Israel many times, this was one of the most memorable experiences that will stay with me forever. We really made the most of every moment.”

“It is great to come home to Jerusalem for such a meaningful reason. Running the half marathon for team Yachad was incredible and we loved knowing that we were making a difference. It was an amazing trip on so many levels,” added senior Jonah Bash.
