Eleven RKYHS students attended the Ambassadors Against BDS International Summit at the United Nations. The students educated themselves on the topic, to be able to form cogent and informed arguments to opponents. Some of the prestigious keynote speakers that the students were privileged to hear from included Ambassador Danny Dannon (Israel’s representative at the UN), Ronald Lauder of the World Jewish Congress and Justice Elyakim Rubinstein (vice president of the Supreme Court of Israel). In the afternoon, students were given the option of various breakout sessions including the timely topic of fighting BDS on a college campus. The students hope to bring back what they learned and translate it into action for the greater RKYHS student body to further equip their classmates to take on the threats of BDS around the country.
