The Friendship Circle of New Jersey provides critical support throughout the year to families who have children with special needs. They run a special winter break camp during vacation week at their Lifetown facility when many kids with special needs are on break from their daily routine programming and schools. At a time when many of the regular Friendship Circle volunteers are away, RKYHS students came each day last week with their grade to spend the day with the Friendship Circle participants and assist in programming and supervision at the winter camp.
Additionally, a group of RKYHS juniors and seniors also volunteered with the residents at Daughters of Israel and Lester Senior Housing, playing games, singing and having meaningful conversations.
