The Kushner varsity baseball team defeated HAFTR by a score of 7-6 to advance to the Yeshiva Baseball Championship Game, which is taking place on Father’s Day at Yogi Berra stadium in Little Falls, New Jersey. This marks the second consecutive year that the Cobras have reached the championship game.
In the matchup, the Cobras raced out to a quick 4-0 lead, but HAFTR managed to tie it up. With some timely hitting along with some clutch pitching, the Cobras pulled ahead and never relinquished the lead.
The team is looking forward to defending their title against Frisch in a rematch of last year’s finals.
