The RKYHS Cobras boys varsity soccer team defeated the HANC Hurricanes by a score of 8-4 to capture the Metropolitan Yeshiva High School soccer league championship. This victory marked an exciting conclusion to this “cinderella” season as the Cobras, entering the playoffs as the eighth seeded team, stunned the yeshiva league as it ploughed its way through the post-season, knocking off both the first and second seeded teams along the way. This win was a total team effort led by junior Max Kops, along with seniors Zach Israeli, Marc Yarkony and goaltender Eli Slonim. The Cobras got off to a quick 2-0 lead and never looked back. Congratulations to the Cobras for winning their second boys varsity soccer title and their third soccer championship overall. A special shout out to their coaching staff led by Logan Singman and Assistant Coach Dave Yoselovsky.
