In 2010, Adeena became the co-chair of the board of education. For the past six years, she has served on the board of directors and is currently the administrative vice president. Yair, a corporate partner at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, has provided our board of directors with invaluable counsel and insight. In addition to legal guidance, we have been fortunate to benefit from Yair’s expert editing and writing skills. The Mayerfelds’ passion for education and community involvement is reflected in every leadership role they have taken on. Yair has just completed serving a two-year term as president of Congregation Beth Aaron in Teaneck. Adeena and Yair were instrumental in the building of Teaneck’s Sterling Place Friday Night Mikvah, and Adeena continues to oversee operations and maintenance of the mikvah. Living in close proximity to Holy Name Hospital, the Mayerfelds are frequently called upon by Bikur Cholim and are always ready to house Shabbos guests who need to be close to family in the hospital.
