Rosh Hashanah Themed PJs Inspire Sweet Dreams For a Sweet New Year

Yael Buechler, a Jewish influencer on Instagram and TikTok, loves to think of out-of-the-box ways to connect Jews with Judaism in a fun way. She recently hosted “Shabbos Barbie” meals, where everything from the challah cover to the washing cup was Barbie-themed. In 2011, she created Midrash Manicures, an online company that produces and sells playful Jewish holiday themed items. Rosh Hashanah pajamas are the latest addition to her collection. The pajamas have whimsical images of holiday symbols, including pomegranates, apples, honey and bees. Each set is made of 100 % cotton for a soft, comfortable fit to wear through Simchat Torah.

The projects are a Buechler family team effort. Her younger son thought up matzah pjs for Pesach 2023, but this time it was her older son who suggested Rosh Hashanah pajamas. He came up with the idea right after Pesach, but Buechler said it was too early for her to think about the fall chagim. In late spring, they designed the Rosh Hashanah pjs together, with her younger son suggesting warm fall colors. The PJ collection includes Shabbat pop art and Chanukah splatter paint themes.

High holiday nail decals are another Rosh Hashanah item. Each year since starting her online company, Buechler has added to her collection of Torah-themed nail decals. This year’s set includes a small shofar, apples, honey, pomegranates, lulav, etrog and Torah. Buechler says the decals are stick-on. For longest wear, use an opaque base color nail polish, such as white or cream, apply the decal, and put a clear coat of polish on top.
