Rotary Club of Teaneck to Report on Medical Mission To Poland/Ukraine Border

On Sunday, August 21 at 2 p.m., join the Rotary Club of Teaneck and others at the Teaneck Public Library, lower level mezzanine auditorium, 840 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey, for an exciting and informative presentation linking the Altiplano of Bolivia, a young boy, his dream and a tale of immigration wrapped around a chance encounter with Rotary, the United States, a life in Teaneck and the Tiwanaku Project—ultimately leading to a recent medical mission to the Polish/Ukraine border to help children with burn and trauma injuries.

Every immigrant’s story is different. While many here in Teaneck can relate in some way to Russia, Poland and Ukraine, so many immigrant stories have a common thread. And while much revolves around the atrocities of war, the impact is invariably humanitarian and shows the better side of selfless human interaction. This is a free event, family and “community” friendly. Your RSVP (while not required) would gratefully be appreciated by August 15 to assure we have sufficient seating. Seating will be on a first come, first served basis and your RSVP (to [email protected]) will help.

The Rotary Club of Teaneck welcomes guests and potential new members to join them at any of their meetings, Wednesdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Vitale’s Restaurant, 293 Queen Anne Rd., Teaneck. The only cost would be for meals and/or beverages ordered.

The August 21 event is sponsored by the Tiwanaku Project with Local Support of Holy Name, TVAC, St. Anastasia Church, Rotary Club of Teaneck and Teaneck Public Library. For additional information, please contact Rotary Club of Teaneck via email at [email protected].
