Happy 75th birthday Israel! Chag Sameach! RPRY celebrated the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel with a day jam-packed with fun and educational activities. The celebration began with a beautiful Hallel in Ohr Torah (OT) for the whole school, which was led by Rabbi Ribalt Avi Maza and his a cappella singers. The school then had its annual Yom Ha’atzmaut parade. The presence of so many parents, neighbors and community members enhanced the simcha as students marched down Harrison, Celler and Edgemont roads. The day continued with a yom iyun in which the students learned about the important events of each decade of the State of Israel’s existence from 1948 until today. Of course, no Yom Ha’atzmaut celebration would be complete without delicious blue and white cookies and traditional falafel. Thank you to everyone who made it an amazing day and hopefully—next year in Yerushalayim!
