To commemorate Yom Hazikaron, the seventh grade boys each spoke about individuals who died al kiddush Hashem to the rest of the middle school at a tekes. These individuals were both soldiers who fell defending Eretz Israel and victims of terror. In a moving ceremony, each student provided a glimpse into the lives of each of these kedoshim, how they died and who they left behind. Then they stated, “Yehi zichram baruch—may their memories be blessed.” and draped an Israeli flag over their picture.
