Kindergarten has been counting and counting, and finally reached the 100th day of school! In a collaboration between general studies and limudei kodesh, the students celebrated the day with a bracha party on 100 pieces of food for the class to make the appropriate bracha on each food group and enjoy. The students have been learning to count in units, by tens, in the buildup to the 100th day. As a special addition, the children Zoomed with one student’s great-grandmother, Mrs. Gordon, who is turning 100 soon! They were able to ask her questions about her life, hearing about her childhood filled with listening to the radio, playing jax and jumping rope. Mrs. Gordon also shared her own grandfather’s mashal that just as a little ant cannot understand our world, we cannot fully fathom Hashem’s incredible magnitude. What a special way to celebrate the 100th day!
