RPRY Encourages Students to Perform Acts of Kindness

The Ned Show performed at RPRY this week. The Ned Show, which stands for ‘NEVER give up, ENCOURAGE others, and DO your best,’ is a performance group that encourages kindness and excellence. It was the perfect kickoff to the student council’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness initiative. In this student-run, school-wide program, teachers and students record acts of kindness they observe throughout the day. Each act is represented as a link in a paper chain running through the school, ultimately growing the chain to 1,000 acts of kindness. The project reinforced a school culture of kindness and consideration.

Other events happening at RPRY included the boys basketball team’s victory in a preliminary game for the first annual “Swish for Sderot” basketball tournament, which was organized to raise awareness for the city and its Hesder Yeshiva. As part of RPRY’s STEM programming this week, 5th grade learned about aerodynamics by building and racing wind-powered toy cars. The program was generously sponsored by the Cypress Family Foundation.

Learn more about RPRY’s excellent education and warm environment at its upcoming open house, Tuesday, November 29, from 7-9pm. RSVP at www.rpry.org.
