In conjunction with learning the letter tzadi, RPRY pre-k students learned about the mitzvah of tzedaka. They gathered and sorted their tzedaka money that they had been collecting since the beginning of the year. Morah Alissa Hercman, whose husband Srulee organizes Tomchei Shabbos of Middlesex County, came to the pre-k classrooms to discuss what Tomchei Shabbos is all about and the importance of the organization. The children were so excited to present their tzedaka money, as well as cards that they painted, for the Tomchei Shabbos food boxes.
