The eighth grade boys had the exciting opportunity to participate in a special hagbah training. The program was introduced with inspiring words from Rabbi Sariel Malitzky of Congregation Ohr Torah and was followed by a review of relevant הלכות and a demonstration of the proper procedure by Rabbi Feit and Rabbi Lipschitz. With the correct technique and some practice, students learned how to properly perform this beautiful custom with confidence. Following the training, students will receive “Hagbah Certification” and will be ready to go! We are sure they will use this new skill as they become full-fledged members of their minyanim and shuls for many years to come.
