RPRY Holds Yom Iyun for Yom Kippur and Sukkot

Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva held an education and inspirational hands-on yom iyun for all middle school students, teaching them not just the laws of Yom Kippur and Sukkot, but also a deeper spiritual underpinnings of the chagim in a fun and engaging way. The students were divided into small groups, each containing a combination of students from fifth through eighth grade, which were led by different rabbis and morot tackling different topics. While one group discussed the laws of a kosher sukkah, another was understanding the powerful significance of the 13 attributes of Hashem. While one group discussed what makes a kosher etrog and lulav, another was diving into the philosophical details of the story of Yonah.

An array of activities, games, costumes, group discussions and demonstrations helped bring these important laws and holidays to life. It was great seeing all the students so involved!
