RPRY Hosts Annual Open House

The rain on Sunday couldn’t dampen the warm excitement at RPRY’s annual Open House! Prospective parents gathered to learn about the school, attend mini-lessons and speak with parents, teachers, and administrators. Two current students addressed the crowd, Kaila Brooks from the first grade and Adam Strub from the seventh grade, sharing their experiences and favorite parts of RPRY. Kaila told the parents that one of the best parts of first grade is using the smart board and ipads for Hebrew, reading and math. Adam, a new student in the school this year, spoke about his social transition and how rapidly he became part of the seventh grade crew, even acting as co-captain of his Maccabiah team.

Escorted to the breakout sessions by eighth grade ushers, parents built homemade glow sticks using basic circuitry, participated in a hands on Hebrew lesson and more. In early childhood, they learned how social emotional growth is built into the curriculum to form the crucial foundation for future success.
