RPRY Hosts Meaningful Mother-Daughter Learning

Our middle school girls had a special mother-daughter event in honor of Morah Nitza’s mother’s 20th yahrzeit. Morah Kaplan started off the event by speaking about her grandmother and how she was an inspiring teacher for 40 years, most of which were spent in Yeshivah of Flatbush. Rebbetzin Dr. Adina Shmidman came to lead an interactive workshop about tefillah, and how we can connect to our Creator through prayer and passion. Using textual sources, the girls, along with their mothers, dissected the origins of the daily tefillot. She asked the girls and mothers to think about who their role models were when it comes to tefillah. She stressed that davening should not be reserved for specific occasions, but rather something that is done everyday. RPRY was honored that Rebbetzin Dr. Adina Shmidman came to share her wisdom with the students and parents. It was a powerful and meaningful event for everyone who attended.
