Morah Hadas’s nursery class at RPRY learned about dental health in honor of dental health month. Dr. Rochelle Frumkin visited the classroom and students were able to ask her questions about their teeth, how to keep them healthy and strong and what to expect when visiting the dentist’s office. Dr. Frumkin brought her dinosaur helper to show the children how to properly brush their teeth and they all took turns brushing the dinosaur’s teeth. Later, after snack, they all took their toothbrushes out and brushed according to Doctor Frumkin’s instructions .The children loved seeing their friends brush their teeth. In art, they changed the color of a yellow tooth to pearly white by brushing white paint on the paper using—you guessed it—a toothbrush! They each got a new toothbrush and paste to take home.
