The fifth grade girls in Morah Shulgasser’s class treated their mothers to a musical performance about Sefer Shoftim which they learned this year. The theme of the show was shira and hodaya (song and thanks), which are two of the recurring themes of the sefer. The girls presented and sang beautifully about Shirat Devorah and the miraculous events that led to her poetic expression of thanksgiving. Following the performance there was mother-daughter cookie decorating which put a delicious finish on a wonderful evening.
