The eighth grade boys at Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva participated in a virtual program with the Museum of the American Revolution called “When Women Lost the Vote.” The program explained how women and free African Americans were able to vote for about 30 years after the American Revolution and then lost that right. Students saw primary sources and historical objects from this time period. They also explored whether voting is a right or a privilege as well as the importance of voting today. The eighth grade girls and seventh grade classes will also be participating in this program in the next few weeks.
