In conjunction with their unit on the rock cycle, RPRY sixth graders took a trip to The Sterling Hill Mining Museum. The students saw the former zinc mine and two different museums focusing on rocks, minerals and other natural materials. The students also participated in a rock discovery program where each student found, and was able to take home, six different types of rocks. The students had a wonderful experience!
