In conjunction with their study of the Constitution and the creation of the government after the American Revolution, the seventh and eighth grade girls went on a trip to the New Jersey State House in Trenton. Students had the opportunity to tour the State House and learn about the Senate and Assembly rooms. They also visited the room formerly housed in the New Jersey Supreme Court. Lastly, students had the opportunity to participate in a Make-A-Law program and become “senators and assemblymen” to debate and vote on bills that were introduced in the Senate and the Assembly in the past few years. Thank you to Mrs. Menasha for arranging this program for the students.
