RTMA Completes Masechta in One Hour During Father-Son Yom Iyun

The Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy celebrated a gala siyum for the completion of the entire Masechet Brachot, which was accomplished during a one hour learning drive for fathers and sons during the RTMA’s Yom Iyun.

The learning was part of a larger scale, cross divisional program to commemorate the 21st yahrtzeit of the JEC’s founder and major rabbinical authority HaRav Pinchas Mordechai Teitz z’l. Rav Elazar Mayer Teitz, son of the late Rav Pinchas Mordechai and current dean of the JEC, conducted the siyum at the conclusion of the hour as he, too, had learned the entire masechta on his own in preparation for the yahrtzeit. In an address at the breakfast following the siyum and dancing, RTMA Principal Rabbi Ami Neuman also informed the audience that a group of students would be making an additional siyum on Mesechet Eiruvin that day, a feat they achieved through completely voluntary extra learning initiated by eleventh grader Nachi Loew of Highland Park, NJ. Following their second siyum of the day, students commenced the next cycle of learning.
