Proving what can be accomplished in “just five minutes a day,” seniors in the Jewish Educational Center’s Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy made a siyum on Masechet Megillah last week, which they completed in under two years of learning just five minutes a day voluntarily immediately after breakfast.
This was the second round of seniors to complete the tractate in this fashion and this year’s 11th graders are gearing up to start their efforts immediately after Pesach.
“This year, this initiative will be opened up to the entire RTMA,” said Rabbi Ami Neuma, assistant principal of RTMA.
And indeed, after watching the seniors enjoy the sense of fulfillment that completing a mesechet brings, many students throughout the division are already signing on.
