RTMA Students Conceive of Brachot Spree

A student-led initiative to make 2,500 brachot within one week was held at the JEC’s Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy recently, and was dedicated for a refuah shleimah for Efraim ben Sarah, a beloved teacher who is faced with illness.

The idea was launched following a talk delivered at RTMA on Yom Ha’atzmaut by Springfield’s Rabbi Chaim Marcus, who is also a faculty member at Bruriah High School. He spoke about the idea of being thankful and the recognition of blessing in our daily lives.

Rabbi Neuman, principal of the division, exclaimed upon making the final of the 2,500 brachot, that this has been one of the most meaningful initiatives that he has witnessed in over 12 years at the school. He said that it is proof that together faculty and students can achieve anything.
