An informational program called “Houseplants: Bringing Nature Indoors” for seniors and their families will take place on Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at The Senior Resource Center at The Lavy House, 748 E. Broad Street, Westfield, New Jersey. The program will be presented by Debra Stuart, Rutgers Master Gardeners of Union County. Caring for plants is the perfect way to relax and de-stress, improving your quality of life and beautifying your home. A light lunch will be served. Kosher dietary laws observed.
The Senior Resource Center at The Lavy House is a joint venture between Jewish Family Service of Central NJ, Temple Emanu-El of Westfield and The Westfield United Fund. Through a grant from the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ, Jewish Family Service of Central NJ provides programming and the services of Social Worker Naomi Kreutzer, LCSW, each Tuesday. Programs are free of charge and open to the entire community.
