Rutgers Hillel Hires Three New Full-Time Staff

Jeremy Davis is Hillel’s new engagement associate. He is from Long Island and has a year of experience at Hillel Baruch College where he served as Springboard Ezra Jewish Education fellow. He previously attended the University of Delaware where he majored in psychology and neuroscience and was Hillel president for two years.

Alicia Rosenbaum is the new IACT Birthright Israel coordinator. She is from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and served as a preschool teacher for the past year in Philadelphia. In this role she created Jewish content for toddlers. As the IACT Birthright Israel coordinator, Rosenbaum is excited to connect with students on a personal level and act as a mentor while they go through their journey in finding their own unique connection to Israel. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science and Jewish Studies from Lafayette College, as well as a master’s in Jewish experiential education, with a concentration in Israel education from the Jewish Theological Seminary.

Avery Elliott will serve as the programming and marketing associate and is from Brooklyn. Avery’s previous work has involved marketing, both for a private agency specializing in search engine optimization, and freelance work with musicians looking to increase their reach and build connections with their audience. Avery previously attended Columbia College Chicago and was involved with Metro Chicago Hillel and majored in music performance with concentrations in voice and bass guitar and minored in music business.

As they settle into their new roles at Rutgers Hillel, the team aims to quickly begin building relationships with students, identify areas to improve student and community engagement, and prepare for welcoming back students at the opening barbecue as well as the New Student Shabbat.

All three started in their new roles with Rutgers Hillel on August 22.
