Rutgers Business School’s part-time MBA program has been reengineered to become the Flex MBA Program. The Flex MBA program allows students to customize their MBA experience. A Flex MBA student may take a part-time load or a full-time load, and is also an excellent option for professionals who wish to further their career but want to continue working while earning their MBA degree. Bloomberg Businessweek recently ranked Rutgers #9 in the Mid-Atlantic region for its part-time MBA program.
The program offers religious accommodation, including strictly kosher food.
This 60-credit MBA program is offered completely in Newark and New Brunswick with satellite locations in Jersey City and Madison. These convenient locations in state-of-the-art facilities make obtaining a Rutgers MBA realistic for working professionals. The only courses not open to Flex MBA students are the Traditional Full-Time MBA cohort core courses. Otherwise, it is the same curriculum as the Traditional Full-Time MBA program, unlike some part-time MBA programs. Rutgers Flex MBA has also recently introduced the added flexibility of taking classes online for select courses.
The Flex MBA is an excellent option for those students who want to pursue a customized or extended concentration, and consultants and entrepreneurs will find the extraordinary flexibility particularly appealing.
Students can begin the Flex MBA at any time: in the fall semester, in the spring semester, or in the summer session. For those applicants who have not yet taken the GMAT/GRE, they may apply to take classes as a non-matriculated student at one of the satellite locations in Madison or Jersey City. Students already pursuing a bachelor’s degree who are admitted to the Future Leaders Program at Rutgers (BS or BA/MBA) can begin the Flex MBA while completing their bachelor’s. Flex MBA students must complete a minimum of 30 credits and be free of any contractual employment obligations, among other requirements, before registering with the MBA Office of Career Management.
An information session for the program will be on August 17 at Mocha Bleu in Teaneck, at 6:00pm. Attendance at the information session will result in a waiving of all application fees.
