The older grades in RYNJ celebrated Israel on Yom Ha’Atzmaut with fabulous Israel-themed carnivals. Both the eighth grade boys and the eighth grade girls created and ran incredible carnivals for the other grades. By helping the younger grades participate in and enjoy the carnivals, they had the opportunity to develop their leadership skills. Their creativity, organization and responsibility was beautiful to watch! The younger grades tremendously enjoyed the incredible energy and array of fantastic activities that the older students set up.

Yeladim in the RYNJ ECD took a fun-filled and educational trip to Israel on Yom Ha’Atzmaut! They got passports, put their bags through security, and boarded their El Al plane. They had a great flight, and were even offered drinks (b’Ivrit, of course) by their incredible stewardess, Morah Mali. After getting their passports stamped, they were off exploring. From putting heartfelt notes into the Kotel, to making crafts in Haifa, to digging through sand in Eilat, to visiting the shuk, to hiking through misty waterfalls, to fishing and milking cows, the students thoroughly experienced the culture and the land of Israel!
