The RYNJ boys in Mrs. Blumenthal’s class welcomed in spring with pointillism. The students focused on the artistry of George Seurat. They were fascinated by the way he made the most beautiful scenes using dots.
After studying his pictures, Mrs. Blumenthal’s students were ready to create their own Seurat-style canvases. Using oil paints and Q-tips, the boys created their own spectacular spring scenes. To accompany their scenes, each boy wrote a short paragraph about their favorite spring activities. How wonderful that these budding young artists have learned to paint so easel-y.
