This past Thursday, February 6, RYNJ’s Mishmar Program was officially dedicated as the Rabbi Reuven Bauman zt”l Mishmar Program. Alumni from Reuven’s graduating class of 1997 were in attendance, along with many alumni faculty who remember having Reuven as a student, and worked alongside his father, Rabbi Mark Bauman, at RYNJ. The evening was a beautiful tribute to Reuven’s memory, with meaningful speeches which created a picture of who Rabbi Reuven Bauman was. The boys in attendance at Mishmar learned all about Reuven’s life, his commitment to Torah learning and his passion for education. They left truly inspired by his life and the anecdotes that were shared. Reuven’s legacy of love for Torah will continue at RYNJ through the weekly learning done by middle school boys. RYNJ thanks the 1997 alumni class representatives for creating this remarkable opportunity and for their hard work in ensuring its success.
