RYNJ eighth graders enjoyed an incredibly exciting two-day trip to Washington, DC. The students spent quality time together with their friend and teachers in an informal educational and recreational setting. The non-stop, action-packed itinerary included visits to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Arlington Cemetery, the MLK and FDR Memorials, the Lincoln and Vietnam Memorials, the Newseum, the Capitol building for a tour and the White House for a photo op. Not only were these stops wonderful picture opportunities, but the students were deeply engaged in discussions as they enjoyed and appreciated the rich American history in their nation’s capital. Along with delicious meals, a fun time at the bowling alley and a restful night at a hotel, this year’s DC trip was a memorable experience that the students and faculty will remember for year to come.
