Everyone has learned from the past six months that sometimes we need to pivot and regroup—including fourth graders, After reviewing the writing process, RYNJ fourth graders used Venn diagrams to compare and contrast their planned summer 2020 with their actual summer 2020. The students realized that although many of their original plans did not materialize, they are still grateful for the fabulous summers they had. Then, they used their ideas to draft a paragraph describing their summers. The boys were excited to peer conference with their friends, edit and revise their work before publishing.
