As part of the RYNJ middle school girls’ LEAP program, the seventh and eighth grade girls had the privilege of learning from Rabbi Danny Senter, RYNJ alumni and COO of the Kof-K, about kashrut in checking fruits and vegetables. In small groups, the girls examined, checked and washed a variety of produce to find bugs, using the halachic guidelines as explained by Rabbi Senter. After their hands-on experience, the girls were “crawling” with excitement and now feel well-equipped for their future kosher kitchens!
