RYNJ students of 5G3 wrote research reports about Amazing Women Historical Figures. As a way to showcase their work, the girls dressed up as the subject of their report and came to a meet-and-greet, where they got to meet other amazing women historical figures in person. The girls discovered that, through both the research and writing aspect as well as the subject matter, a challenge is a good thing and can even change the world.
In the middle school, RYNJ 8th grade girls had the unique opportunity to participate in the worldwide Leket Israel Mezuzah Project. Using different colors of thread and various patterns, they created beautiful needlepoint designs to be inserted into clear mezuzah cases, and together with a klaf, gifted to displaced families in Israel when they can finally return home.
The kindergarten yeladim had a wonderful week as well, finally celebrating their long-awaited 100th day of school. They began this special day with a fantastic 100th Day of School fair, where they enjoyed different stations and activities all centered around the number 100.
To close another meaningful and productive week of school, RYNJ introduced a brand-new initiative: “Keep Shabbos On,” adding 18 device-free minutes to the end of Shabbos. Over 100 families participated, and the positive feedback was overwhelming. RYNJ encourages the entire school community to join the movement this week.
