What do you get when you mix 100 RYNJ third and fourth graders, some shape building activities and a few Chromebooks? Geometry STEM night, of course! From building shapes with toothpicks and clay, to finding the perimeter of a lego piece with graph paper, all RYNJ students, along with parents and grandparents, were engaged in and excited by the various activities. At the end of the night, the winner of the grand prize was announced. Mazel tov to Rivky Geffner from 4G1, who took home the jar of 726 geometrically shaped Super Snacks, after providing the closest estimate of 715! Since everyone at RYNJ is a winner, every student received a different shaped colorful bean bag to remember the fantastic evening.
