Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Every month the sixth grade talmidot are privileged to hear from guest speakers as part of the RYNJ bat mitzvah program, “Orah Visimchah.” The presenters are women community leaders who serve as role models and sources of inspiration for the bnot mitzvah.

This past week, Rebbetzin Shevy Yudin and her daughter, RYNJ graduate and parent, Rebbetzin Chaviva Rothwachs came into RYNJ to speak to the girls together. The dynamic duo showed that mothers and daughters can learn from each other and inspire one another to do great things. They shared some personal stories in order to encourage the girls to do chesed, teaching them how rewarding and life altering an experience it will be. And they left the girls with the message that the grades that you get on tests are not the most important measure of who you really are and who you will grow up to be; rather, your good qualities and your kindness will earn you the highest marks of all.
