This week, the eighth grade boys and girls at RYNJ participated in an incredibly meaningful Holocaust memorial evening. Working in groups, the students meticulously researched different aspects of the Shoah, and created three-dimensional replicas on a large scale of their selections. All of these were assembled in the shul for a special evening, where their parents were able to walk around and view each exhibit. Their incredible attention to detail and thoughtful, creative executions were extraordinarily impressive. They utilized a large range of unique and realistic materials, as well as special effects, to create a rich and evocative experience for the viewers. Thank you to their fabulous language arts and social studies teachers for preparing them so thoroughly for this meaningful evening.
