The fifth grade students of RYNJ presented to their parents and schoolmates a hands-on learning experience in honor of the upcoming chag of Shavuot.

The “Torah Fair” highlighted various stories or biblical personalities from Tanach. 3D displays, which depicted the theme alongside a written report, gave the viewer an overview of the salient points of the story, or personality, the student chose to focus on.

The “Mishna Fair” highlighted the various themes from masechat Yoma which our RYNJ students have been studying throughout the year. The 3D displays highlighted various aspects of the avoda, or service, on Yom Kippur. Each project was accompanied by a detailed description of what was being displayed.

Parents and students came away from the fairs with a greater understanding of the intricacies of Yom Kippur and an in-depth look at various stories in Tanach.
