RYNJ Jaguars Girls Basketball Cap Perfect Season With Championship Win

After an undefeated season, the RYNJ Lady Jaguars are the new champions of the Metropolitan Jewish Day School Basketball League, women only conference. The final score of the championship game was 39-25, and the Jaguars pushed and played hard until the end of the game.

At halftime the score was 20-6, Jaguars leading. They continued to pull ahead, never letting the YCQ Wildcats within 10 points of their lead. Both teams wanted this victory and with teamwork, great defense and strong shooting, RYNJ finally claimed the victory.

The Jaguars were thankful for all of the school spirit and support that accompanied them to the game. They were joined by two full excited fan buses chaperoned by loyal and devoted administrators, Mrs. Wexler and Morah Zucker, Morah Motechin, an eighth grade morah, and Coach Carpenter, a beloved gym teacher. Coaches Chani Hyman and Racheli Zerman devoted much of their time and efforts to make the Jaguars the winning team that they have become.

The game was the perfect ending to a great season. Throughout the season, teamwork led to victory. Every player has been involved and has contributed a tremendous effort to the team. Teamwork has helped the Lady Jaguars to an undefeated, 12-0 season, ending with a championship! Thank you to all of the Jaguars’ supporters and good luck to next year’s team!
