RYNJ middle school launched a new program this year called LEAP. Each month RYNJ MSG talmidot have been delving into the topics of personal values and השגחה פרטית through creative games, hands-on activities, inspiring videos and meaningful discussions.

As part of this month’s LEAP program, the RYNJ MSG experienced the meaning behind and power of the mitzvah of hafrashat challah. During the program, the girls heard inspiring stories about hafrashat challah miracles and learned about the source, reasons behind and halachot pertaining to how to do the mitzvah. One girl per class was chosen by a raffle to do the hafrasha followed by a personal moment of tefillah. Afterwards, each girl enjoyed creatively braiding and choosing from a variety of toppings for their own challah. The challah was delicious and a meaningful experience was had by all!
