The talmidot of the RYNJ middle school are participating in two important tefillah initiatives as they begin the new year. In the תפילה בכונה program they are focusing on their daily davening- being on time, using a Siddur consistently and saying the words carefully, and not speaking or causing a distraction. Morot hole-punch the girls’ תפילה בכונה cards each day and the participants will receive sweet treats at the end of the month, but the true reward is the talmidots’ stronger commitment to their daily davening and their relationship with Hashem.

The second program, קריאה ביחד, was designed to enhance the girls’ connection to the תפילות של שבת, sharpen their Hebrew reading skills, and to carve out some special time for mothers and daughters to spend together. Each week the talmidot receive a handout with select passages from תפילות של שבת which they read to their mom. The program will culminate in a special mother/daughter celebration.
