The RYNJ halls are much quieter and the MSG students are back in class, learning according to their regular schedules. Nevertheless, echoes and memories linger in everyone’s minds and hearts as they remember the amazing shemittah color war experiences of the last three days. The talmidot were afforded many exciting and fun-filled opportunities to showcase their talents, creativity and enthusiasm; they also had to work cooperatively, handle group challenges and be respectful and sensitive to others.

One of the most poignant moments was when the officers of all three teams got together to create this year’s MSG alma mater. They taught the song to the entire MSG. At the color war finale, the girls made a huge circle and with arms around each other sang in unison, with beautiful smiles and teary eyes.

This year, when they girls filled out their reflective Google form evaluating color war, they had no suggestions for how to improve it. That says it all!
