RYNJ parents of students in grades one through three spent an interactive evening exploring Singapore Math with Devorah Banayan, RYNJ lower school general studies principal. The Singapore math approach is utilized throughout the Dimensions curriculum currently implemented inthose grades. Parents had the opportunity to learn about the approach, RYNJ’s math goals for its students, and how instruction is structured to meet those goals. Then parents explored the actual games, strategies and tools used by their children in school so that they can better support their child’s math growth. It was an engaging, productive and meaningful evening of collaboration and home-school partnership!
